We are privileged to have another bright light shining in our midst as Maggie Alderman interns at Unity of New Braunfels for the next four months on her way to becoming a full-fledged Unity Minister with the enthusiastic support of her spouse, Courtney Holton. Maggie is in her final year of ministerial school at Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute. It’s said that she is one of the rare ones in that she has been in Unity and studied its teachings throughout her life. During the past several years she has served the Unity community by helping to write the Unity Worldwide Ministries Diversity Statement, edited new youth and family ministry training materials, served as UWSI student prayer chaplain, as well as being one of our regional Y.O.U. head sponsors and most currently she serves on the new Unity prayer curriculum writing team. She has a deep love for her family, a passion for prayer, diversity, and inclusivity and embraces life with this mission: To boldly embody Christ consciousness with a loving audacity that grants others the liberty to claim their own Divine expression!
Maggie was given a proverbial “baptism by fire” in her opening weeks with us by being asked on short notice to deliver a Sunday morning talk in Rev. Gary’s unexpected absence on September 22. As the video attests, she rose to the occasion beautifully. Thank you, Maggie, and welcome. There is no doubt you were born for this!
